WIP – Master of Agonies – Jius Sirovocos

Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 Warhammer 40k Logo

Have had a lot of fun converting this guy. I wanted someone who was a former protégé of Fabius Bile, an Apothecary of the Emperor’s Children and then member of the Consortium who has since gone out on his own but inevitably will find his way back in the orbit of The Spider from time to time.

I also wanted somebody who looked like they could clearly be leading a warband of their own if they had the inclination to do so. Jius is a devotee of Slaanesh addicted to the infliction of agonies on his enemies – whether directly himself or through the warband he’s attached himself to. As an Apothecary he has a certain value and status that he exploits until such time as his hosts grow distrustful or outright hostile – but whilst he’s with them he shares the combat drugs he is constantly testing and/or the toxins he has concocted to deliver further agony to their foes.

A terrain Legionary, taken from the stock of children offered up in tribute to the Emperor at the end of the Unification Wars by the noble houses of Europa. The warp has twisted his heart and soul but the same regal disdain of those ancient bloodlines still looks out over the battlefields of the 41st millennium.

Master of Agonies – Jius Sirovocos (counts as Master of Executions)

The main body is obviously the Master of Executions. I’ve used the backpack and pistol arm from the Primaris Apothecary, the sword hand is taken from the MkVI Horus Heresy Marines sprues and the head is of course from the amazing Horus Heresy Lord Commander Eidolon sculpt.

Some Greenstuff work to do before he’s ready to paint but really looking forward to working on this one and trying to capture the various themes through the miniature and paint job.
