I can’t pretend that currently I write many army lists that include any Chaos Sorcerers (maybe that’ll change with the Emperor’s Children Codex though…) but, they’re a fun opportunity to kitbash characters that are a little different from the regular legionaries and even a lot of the other leaders in a Chaos Space Marines army!

I had three ideas for Sorcerer conversions so decided to work on them together – which was handy as there were some kits that were split across these kitbashes! In my head I’ve decided they’re something of a cabal within the structure of my warband – their sorcery giving them power within the warband but somewhat outside the structure (or what passes as structure amongst the remnants of the traitor legions) of a legionary warband.

First up is Sorcerer Lord Vorterin-Buen:

He still needs a little more greenstuff work work to finish off the staff but otherwise pretty much there. The staff top is taken from the Shardspeaker from Age of Sigmar and the head is one of the options from the Esoterist Consul for Horus Heresy, the rest of that sculpt was put to use for…

Sorcerer Lord Kesh Meriad:

His staff top is off of the Dark Commune Demagogue as I felt it has a suitably fleshy and Slaaneshi feel. The head is from the Chosen kit and was earmarked for a Sorcerer kitbash the moment I saw it.

Finally, Lord Revadistreo:

Again a few bits mixed and matched between each of the Sorcerers with the plastic Chaos Sorcerer’s head here on the plastic Terminator Sorcerer body with bits from the Twinsouls and Shardspeaker from Age of Sigmar and a banner top taken from a Slaaneshi icon for the Hellstriders in the same range. Although, I’m unsure on the back-banner here and may use it elsewhere and try something different to make it match up to my other Terminators a little better – what do you reckon?
