Warhammer 40,000 Tacticus Diary: A Week in Tacticus 16th – 22nd February

My Tacticus Diary is a weekly feature, reflecting on what I’ve been doing in Tacticus, achievements met and a few other bits and bobs that might have popped up! This is not the first Tacticus Diary and it will not be the last, you can find the others here.

Opening Shot

  • This week was always going to be a quieter one after the Lucius event and the immediate aftermath and it’s largely been a week of steady progress against the Upgrade Farming plan. There’s also another project alongside that of farming shards for Abaddon as I’ve decided my Guild Raid team would be greatly helped with the Warmaster boosting the damage output of my characters.

Monday 16th February 2026

  • A few characters today! Firstly, ranked Arjac up to Iron 1 and then got Exitor-Rho to the same level. Finally, Boss Gulgortz to Bronze 3 which will make the biggest difference of the 3.

Tuesday 17th February 2026

  • Even more work on Boss Gulgortz and up to Silver 1. On top of that Snappawrecka was promoted to Iron 3 and Shadowsun to Iron 1.

Wednesday 18th February 2026

  • Some progress on the Astra Militarum front with Sibyll and Kut Skoden both promoted to Bronze 2. As well, the Boss Gulgortz progress continues at pace as he hits Silver 2!

Thursday 19th February 2026

  • It’s definitely an Orky sort of week! Snotflogga to Silver 2 today also – the Orks are definitely amongst my favourite non-Chaos characters and Snotflogga is one of the coolest of those so quite pleased to get to work on him some more!

Friday 20th February 2026

  • Even more fun than Orks today though as we got Laviscus to Diamond 2 which is particularly nice for Guild Raids where he’s fast become a feature! Just love how quickly his damage grows thanks to his ‘Refusal to Be Outdone’ ability.

Saturday 21st February 2026

  • Mixed it up a little today Baldr of the Space Wolves to Iron 1 and Wrask of the World Eaters to Iron 2.

Sunday 22nd February 2026

  • An Astra Militarum finish to the week with Thaddeus Noble to Silver 1 – this is definitely helpful towards the goal of getting Abaddon unlocked as really want to be doing so through the Elite missions but my Guard characters are nowhere near powerful enough to get through the missions where they can’t have help from Lucien or Kariyan (or Dreir but he is a Guard character, just not one of the ones I have to include!)

Reflections

  • Had a rare 10-drop Requisition mixed results I would say, Shiron and Angrax shards are particularly useful at the moment the Ad-Mech shards will be handy in the future but they’re not a focus for now. Quite a good one overall so worth sharing but definitely could also have been better with only one character I didn’t have getting any shards.

Upgrade Item of the Week

This week’s Upgrade Item is a: Bosspole

Been a very Orky week with lots of work on Boss Gulgortz and Snotflogga in particular at the moment, so felt like a good week for an Orky upgrade and you can’t get much more Orky than a Bosspole!

Apologies this one went up a little late – work got in the way! See you on 2nd March for the diary covering 23rd February to 1st March.

I’m currently using the Tacticus Planner and the Tacticus Codex to help with my event planning and my Raiding plan – you can see a bit more about them in my Getting Started with Tacticus post.
