My Tacticus Diary is usually a weekly feature, reflecting on what I’ve been doing in Tacticus, achievements met and a few other bits and bobs that might have popped up! This is not the first Tacticus Diary and it will not be the last, you can find the others here.

Unfortunately, I’ve been laid low with flu the last week and a bit so the format will be slightly different this week to catch us up on the missed week and to talk about all the things that have happened since the last update! So, buckle in for a zoom through the last fortnight!

Opening Shot

• In my last diary entry, I shared the teams I was using for the Ancients are Watching event for Uthar’s release. In the end, I finished this first event with 350 shards for Uthar, just the finite number of tokens that stopped me being able to unlock him on the first go (and was very much Free-2-Play on the approach for Uthar!). So, next time round I’ll be able to get him unlocked!

Headlines

• A big one, 10th March saw a massive update to the Onslaught Game Mode – the way the levels are chained together was changed alongside the enemies and the rewards that you get from Onslaught games too! I have to say, I really love the changes! It’s breathed some life into a game mode that was good in theory but became quite formulaic and grindy feeling due to the repetitive nature of it and the fairly stingy rewards. As an Emperor’s Children player I’m pretty much dependent on Onslaught to promote and ascend my characters and the new approach makes things almost 3x more productive which is massive and means it feels more rewarding to switch about into the other tracks and not see only the missing shards when I do anything other than Chaos! A huge win from Snowprint!
• Thanks to the Adepetus Mechanicus event I had a couple of 10 req. pulls. One of Bless Requisitions (the Black Legion ones) and one of regular Requisitions. I leave the outcomes of those below without further comment…

• I did have a little more luck in individual Requisition pulls with Aun’shi in a regular requisition! I’m really not a Tau fan but they are good in the game and certainly handy in the Legendary events it would seem so I will put a little work in to Aun’shi up to Silver with the rest of the Tau…

• Been a great couple of weeks for the Emperor’s Children characters, I also have Lucius 99% of the way to Diamond 3 so fully expect to see him on here in the next diary entry! Otherwise, steady progress overall with a few milestones hit and goals achieved already. I’ll be looking to take the Emperor’s Children characters further of course but will prioritise the others on the others on the plan for now!
